Uber and other budget firms began to eat-in to Swift’s market share as the private hire industry reached saturation point. Consumer King devised a wraparound PR and social media marketing plan to reignite Swift’s status as Leicester’s preeminent taxi firm – a status they’d enjoyed since launching in 1967.

Targeting specific demographics

Targeting specific demographics in the city: Leicester City football fans, the city’s 45,000 students and the Business to Business market we were able to reach new revenue streams. Bookings rose more than 40 per cent during periods of concentrated output.

The outcome

Our ‘fixed fare, no meters’ video campaign generated more than 14,000 views on Facebook.

Competitions we launched on Swift’s behalf proved to bring a 25-fold Return On Investment as well as an aggregate social media audience growth of 320 per cent.  Both Swift and their founder Mick Norton featured regularly in local print and industry press.
